ABOUT:

Documentary Meets is a calendar run of 10 non-fiction films which ‘meet’ a variety of topics like pride; sex work; kin; colonisation, et al. Guided by this monthly topic relevant to our calendar and community, each film has been chosen to muster awareness and incite conversation with guest speakers on hand to offer a viewing framework. Programmers Emmett Aldred and Keva York selection boasts of works that twist formal conventions in provocative, purposeful ways.

Screenings will be hosted at Composite: Moving Image Agency situated within Collingwood Yards; 35 Johnston St, Collingwood VIC 3066.

We would like to highlight that Documentary Meets screenings will take place on stolen and unceeded Wurundjeri Land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the of the Kulin nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and operate.
